How the tournament works

A simple, team-friendly structure designed to keep the day moving while giving everyone a chance to contribute.

Team format
Play in your assigned group and follow the tournament instructions provided at check-in. If a specific format is announced (for example, scramble), that event-day direction will apply.

Scoring
Record scores as directed by the tournament committee. Ensure the scorecard is complete and legible, and return it to the designated scoring area immediately after your round.

Ties & prizes
Tie-breakers and prize eligibility will be explained during announcements. Please keep your scorecard until results are confirmed.
Policies
Key rules to know
To ensure a safe and enjoyable day for all participants, please follow course policies and tournament staff direction at all times.
Sportsmanship: Respect fellow golfers, volunteers, and course staff.
Pace of play: Keep up with the group ahead and be ready to play when it’s your turn.
Local rules: Follow Deer Creek Golf’s local rules and any tournament-specific guidance shared at check-in.
Safety: Call “Fore” when appropriate and never hit when the group ahead is in range.

What time should golfers arrive?
Plan to arrive early for parking, check-in, and any pre-round announcements. Exact timing will be shared on the Schedule page.
What happens if weather affects play?
Weather decisions follow course safety guidance. Updates will be shared on-site and through event communications.
Are mulligans or special contests offered?
If mulligans, draws, or on-course contests are offered, details and pricing (if applicable) will be provided at check-in.
Can I use a rangefinder or GPS?
Use of distance-measuring devices is typically permitted unless otherwise noted by the course or tournament officials.
Where do I return my scorecard?
Return completed scorecards to the designated scoring area immediately after your round, as announced on-site.
